This picture is almost overwhelming for me. We just had the largest leaders/potential leaders briefing Stillwaters has ever had. I would like to draw your attention to the smiles in this photo.

Therein lies the glory of this meeting. These 19 students have been invited to lead their respective house churches. Some would call that job fulfilling. Some would call it a slow and painful death. Both are correct answers! I think every student knew that leadership can be a pain. Yet the atmosphere in the room was very positive. (Hence the smiles!)
There’s something different here. I mean, it’s finals week! Attendance alone is astonishing. A joy-giving, hurdle-leaping energy was in the air. It’s Jesus. He started stuff like this when He overcame the cross.
These students will give their final decisions within the week. They can actually decline the invitation. It would not be a shame if they did. We’re making sure of that. We don’t want to put anyone in a position they’re not ready for. May these students make free decisions between them and their God; never out of fear or pressure or threat. It’s just more beautiful that way.
