The momentum for evangelism is high!
Taking advantage of the first two months of the school year, wherein the freshmen have no commitments yet and minimal academic load, students who are involved in Stillwaters Church have been initiating spiritual conversations and sharing the Gospel. For June alone, we have more than 30 new people involved in Bible studies. More than that, one of our house churches (the Tuesday group) is even getting so big already, that we might need to begin another house church next semester.
To be able to sustain this momentum, we recently conducted a training which aims to encourage the students to develop their own personal vision –what they want to see happen in their ministry, in UP and in our nation. This, we believe, will help them grasp evangelism not only as an activity, but also as a lifestyle; to grasp the Great Commission not as an obligation, but more as a privilege and personal invitation from the Lord.
