Angono, Rizal – It was a team effort. Dispatched to typhoon-ravaged areas of Angono, 11 Stillwaters members eagerly distributed 3000 bags of relief goods. Residents would run and create lines for a block long, hoping to get a bag. There was one area that got so unruly, we had to leave. Some people would be angry, some would be grateful, some would have faces laden with sorrow. Members were glad to give the comfort they could.
It was encouraging and inspiring to see the urgency of these young people. Even with simple tasks like putting canned goods in a plastic bag, they were ferocious. I am proud of how our students were of one mind. Thanks to our friends at Operation Compassion and Tulong Bayan for sending us to Angono.
